2. In what situations do they resort to the help of Air Ambulance?
Emergency medical care with the involvement of medical aviation is provided:
1) if it is impossible to provide medical care due to the lack of medical devices and (or) specialists with appropriate qualifications in a medical organization at the patient's location;
2) if necessary, the delivery of specialists of the secondary and tertiary levels of medical care to the destination;
3) to transport the patient to medical organizations of secondary and tertiary levels of medical care if it is impossible and ineffective to provide medical care at the patient's location;
4) for the transportation of organs (parts of an organ) and (or) tissues (parts of tissue) for subsequent transplantation to an appropriate medical organization.
Medical aviation can be used in cases of:
1) delivery of a patient in serious condition from foreign clinics to domestic clinics;
2) delivery of a patient in need of medical support to medical organizations at the place of residence for continued treatment from medical organizations of the secondary and tertiary levels of medical care.
The rules for the provision of emergency medical care, including with the involvement of medical aviation, are developed and approved by the authorized body.

Local representative and executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital decide to provide free or preferential travel to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan outside the settlement of permanent residence to receive high-tech medical services within the guaranteed volume of free medical care and (or) medical care in the system of compulsory social health insurance;
take measures to provide transport in case of traveling nature of medical care to the population within the guaranteed volume of free medical care and (or) in the system of compulsory social health insurance or reimbursement of transportation costs when leaving for medical care in rural areas
